Okay, I think it's HIGH TIME someone made the information FREE and available to those who seek it on building their own vaporizer if they are so inclined.
It's no secret to us that most tokers have analytical minds and are used to improvising, as well as doing a little research when needed.
I don't know about you guys, but I think the prices are absurd on simple devices like vaporizers, and it is ridiculous that some of these companies that sell these proclaimed "high-tech" devices for such cost ESPECIALLY when most all of them, unless you opt for the even more expensive models, have no variable control (of heat) whatsoever.

These more expensive models with the variable control (a potentiometer, which works just like a light dimmer switch you may have in your home) usually cost at least $40 more than one with a simple on/off switch, yet the two types of switches I mention, which are most commonly used, have almost no price difference if any.

Smokers ripping off smokers? I hope I am wrong, but I don't think so.

Now, most of you may care less about a vaporizer, I don't know.

For those that do, I am no electronic engineer, but am familiar with basic electronics and chemistry, and if I had my hands on one (decent vap.) I am certain I could replicate or even make better dirt cheap. If anyone is interested, please let me know, that way I know whether or not to go through the time and trouble to replicate, test, improve, and give simple directions with pics on how to construct one.

If someone on the site already knows, and I'm wasting my breath here please let me know as well.

I only tried one once a few years back, it didn't matter to me much then, other than I noticed my smoke was less harsh on the throat and lungs.

Not much time later I noticed my acid reflux condition was getting so bad, if I coughed more than twice, well, I would puke up pure stomach acid...not pleasant. A few months ago it was discovered I had a type of hernia that I probably had all my life, but went misdiagnosed as something else. This hernia meant that my ashophogus was not "sealed" to my stomach. In fact, part of my stomach actually was protruding into my ashophogus. This explained alot. I had the neccesary surgery, and no longer have the reflux, instead only a hiccup like reaction once in a while.

So, though I do not need a vap. to enjoy my smoke anymore, I am still going to tackle the project. One reason I made this post is that I know some people eiether have a problem, (or develop one) with smoke or simply prefer using a vap. or other means, such as digesting.

I prefer large bongs personally, but it can get expensive. I would like to try to morph the two into one, if neccesary, or whatever method gets the most bang for the buck, while leaving as many impurities unwanted behind.

Please post some comments on this topic, I'd like to know what fellow tokers think. Is it a waste of time? Am I completely wrong?...etc.

Once again, I am new, I just thought there should at least be an area to share tech. ideas. I see noone put in a reply to good cooking recipes..this surprised me, but the only thing I cook well is steak...no good at baking, at least not cakes! *Hmmm.....Pot-Steak smoked with Hickory chips..?*
